Why did you choose to be an RA?
Since I was a freshmen, I was friends with the RAs. I was captivated by the effect they had in the community—playing a role in keeping it safe, planning a ton of fun things for everyone to do, how their residents responded to them, and the sense of camaraderie on staff. I wanted to be a part of it, and now, I can proudly say that I am.
What is your favorite thing about living on campus at WSU?
I love the sense of community that comes with living on campus. As long as you’re willing to make the effort to come out of your room, you will, without a doubt, find someone and something that makes you happy. You down even have to drive 15 minutes away; they’re either right across campus or 10 feet down the hall!

My name’s Jasmine, and for those of you lucky enough to live on 1st Oak this year, I’ll be your RA! I’m a senior this year, and I’m a Theater Studies major with a minor in Business. Strange combination, I know. Ultimately, I want to act, and own my own book store. I’m a very creative person, and if you’re the same, we’ll get along just swimmingly! My door is literally always open (when my room is clean, at least), and when you come in, you’ll see a ton of posters, and I’ll either be watching one of the many movies I own (which you’re welcome to borrow), catching up on House, Glee, or Pretty Little Liars, reading a book, playing guitar, or working on my novel. Oh yeah— and homework.
Anyway, I look forward to meeting all of you, and if you ever have a question, need someone to talk to, want to borrow a movie, or want to get owned in Call of Duty, I’m right down the hall!
