  • 1 Resident Assistant (RA) in each apartment building - An RA is a person who's been specially selected and trained to assist you in your adjustment to college, be a support for you, help you with conflicts, provide educational opportunities and social activities, and be a resource.
  • Community Council- Get involved in planning activities for your community and in residential governance.
  • Building Standards - Your building decides how you'll treat each other and hold each other accountable for the standards you set.
  • Social Activities - Many of these are planned so you can take some time to get to know your fellow community members in between all that studying!

Eligibility: Two semesters of WSU housing, transfer or continuing sophomore, or be at least 21 years of age.

At A Glance


The Forest Lane Apartments provide apartment-style accommodations for 256 students in four buildings: Aspen, Sequoia, Palms, and Sycamore. Forest Lane contracts are for three quarters; summer contract extensions are available.


The majority of the apartments are two-bedroom units that house four students. All four buildings in Forest Lane are co-ed. All apartments are air-conditioned and have a full kitchen. The four-person, two-bedroom units are furnished with:


  • 4 Twin Extra-Long Bed Frames with Mattress
  • 4 Desks with Desk Chairs
  • 4 Three Drawer Dressers
  • 1 Kitchen Table and 4 Chairs
  • 1 Love Seat
  • 2 Arm Chairs
  • 1 End Table
  • 1 Living Room Lamp
  • Microwave

The two-bedroom, two-person units are furnished in a similar style but with furniture to accommodate two people. Kitchens have full-size stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, garbage disposal, and full sized refrigerator. Utilities, local phone service, voice mail, and cable TV are included. The community is also equipped with laundry facilities (up to $40 at no extra charge) and a community center including a multipurpose area and a large-screen television room. Also, each room is equipped with an Ethernet hook-up for students to connect to Wright State University's Local Access Network from their room.
