Led by Vaughn Shannon, Political Science.
Has the university experience become one of mindlessness for faculty, staff and students, all infected by the virus of "corporatization of the academy"? This collection of essays argues that this is the case. In this book-discussion group, Dr. Vaughn Shannon (Wright State political scientist and resident zombie-genre expert) leads an examination of the claims of the book, and of our own university experience. In addition, the group will address the value of the Zombie metaphor in teaching at the university level, building off the book's chapters on "Zombie Literacies and Pedagogies." Come with a critical eye, come with ideas, and come with lunch. The future may well depend on it.
